Set in a timeless mythical forest inhabited by fairies, goblins, unicorns and mortals, this fantastic story follows a mystical forest dweller, chosen by fate, to undertake a heroic quest. He must save the beautiful Princess Lili and defeat the demonic Lord of Darkness, or the world will be plunged into a never-ending ice age.
Entertaining enough fantasy-adventure doesn't offer a whole lot in terms of character development and I'm not entirely sure Tom Cruise was right for that role, but it was okay and the production design and prosthetics were impressive. Kind of an oddity as a Ridley Scott film, felt more like something Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard or even Robert Zemeckis would've directed. **3.5/5**
